A joke
I have had South Jersey gas for more than six years now at the same place and the day my dryer broke my bill went down 60% so they start writing me and telling me something is wrong with my meter and they need to come out and change my meter when there's absolutely nothing wrong with my M I only use South Jersey gas for my dryer and I think it's funny if it was the other way around and the bill was 60% more I wouldn't hear shit from this company

Takes a week to get a service appointment
Just moved with my wife and infant child. Trying to get the gas turned on and they are telling me they cannot make it out for a whole week. I find it very hard to believe this is the case.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Had an appt from 8a-8p for service restoration. Told me they would call 15mins prior to arrival. Took off of work for the day. Notice a SJG truck outside. After about 10mins, I looked back out the window and they were gone. I called customer service and they said the tech said no one was home. Never knocked never called. After talking with customer service for 50 mins (mostly on hold) they told me the best they could do is resched for next day 8a-1p. So I have to take another day off work as a single mom, thats very detrimental. I can not believe they had no answer or resolution for a tech blatantly lying about his job which they paying him to do. An entire day wasted. But guess what, they took their $500 immediately! Customer Service is nonexistent. They should have required the lazy tech to come back out same day.

Ridiculous Prices and Rude Customer Service
One month of a gas bill should not be over $400. We keep our house at cooler temperatures, almost never above 68. And try to work out a payment plan with customer service, ha. They are so rude, don't listen to what you are trying to tell them, and still leave you with at least a months worth that you can't afford on their "plan". For someone in working class, you just can't win because you don't qualify for the assistance programs but you can't afford your bills.
